Blue and yellow, chosen with dogs in mind
Color is part of the design, too.
We chose Murrybowl’s blue and yellow inserts with canine color vision in mind. Research shows that dogs can use blue and yellow color cues to identify food-associated objects. A separate study of free-ranging dogs found a preference for yellow bowls over blue or gray bowls.

These studies examined color discrimination and bowl preference. They did not test Murrybowl or establish that blue and yellow bowls reduce anxiety or improve food visibility.
